Over the past twenty years, thousands of lives have been impacted from the work of the Bosnia Relief Charitable Trust. Among those most touched are several programs that aide and assist the most needy - orphans from Egipat Children's Home, the poor who seek help through the Bread of St. Anthony program, diabetic children from a small village called Zavidovici, Roma children and the dying who are assisted by the Njega Home Hospice, refugees who need a goat from the Bosnia Relief Goat Program to repair and resume their livelihood. Each of these programs continue to serve those who have yet to recover from the Balkan war that devastated their lives. |

The book you've been waiting for is here! After 40 trips and thousands of miles bringing aid to those in need, "The Transport of Hope" is available for sale online and at Barnes & Noble in the Bayshore Towne Center. We are excited to be ready to tell the story that encapsulates the work of the Bosnia Relief Charitable Trust.
In the book, "The Transport of Hope: How one woman made a difference in the Balkan conflict," hope is transported in the single suitcase of Jeanne McCue, founder of Bosnia Relief Charitible Trust, who launched a one-person humanitarian effort after being affected by her own tragedy and the consequences of a war half a world away.
Using the resources of her friends, co-workers, neighbors and her local church, McCue has made 40 trips to the former Yugoslavia since 1994. Each time she has brought assistance which included medical supplies, toys, coats, seeds, yarn and so much more for the poor and elderly, the orphaned and the thousands of refugees who were victims of this vicious conflict. Do we learn any lessons from "The Transport of Hope?," The answer is yes - in the quiet observations of a humble person making her mark to better humanity.
