The Transport of HopeHope comes in the single suitcase of Jeanne McCue, founder of the Bosnia Relief Charitable Trust and a retired nurse. Using her own resources, her strong faith and on the heels of a personal tragedy, Jeanne made 40 trips to Bosnia-Herzegovina over more than 23 years to bring medical supplies, hygiene packs,  knitting needles, toys and much more to thousands of refugees caught in a violent conflict. The Transport of Hope shares with readers her incredible stories which include visits to orphanages, hospice centers, refugee camps and medical clinics bringing whatever she can to people who have lost all hope.

After losing her son, a visit to Medjugore in Bosnia - a place of peace - she found comfort from her grief. When the war broke out in that region one year later, she felt she needed to help. A personal journey of faith, determination and hope in the face of adversity, "The Transport of Hope" is a gripping story of an ordinary person who has done extraordinary deeds.

McCue is the recipient of numerous awards, and she was the subject of a five-part series in the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel newspaper. Peg Masterson Edquist, co-author, is an award winning journalist, freelance writer and co-author of "Love, Power and Money." (Glengrove Publishing).
